((OOC:laughed at the last part there, i got something similar lioke that down in my story im workin on, too funny to see it again from someone else ^^))
Barak secured his hands on her legs, keeping a stable grip, and lifted his neck enough so she could get her arms around, then lowered again. "Don't worry, this isn't one idea i like either, however....it is still out there ya'know? I can see it." Barak had hoped to keep it to himself that he could see directly into the things body, he knew what it looked like now, and saw that it had spread its vines in a circle around them, waiting to spring an attack. But he knew how weary she was about this, and guessed that she already knew, or was just uncomfortable, either option spurred a hurry in Barak's next move. "Hang tight." he warned her, his crimson eyes shutting partially as he crouched down on the floor, then pushed himself up in a leap, crimson covering his feet as he kept accelerating past the tree's, and into the sky, looking down, he saw the vines accelarting after them. He tilted his body forward in a hunched position so it was if he was laying head down in the ground, crouched, and pushed forward off of nothing. Speding across the sky. "This is only temporary..." Barak shouted to her through the wind, trying to keep some oxygen in him, and strength. "I got a 5 second glide before i have to plummet and sprint." After that, he remained silent, conserving energy.

Biting her lip apprehensively, Nanami slowly put her arms around his neck and laced her fingers together. She didn't want her arms tight enough to choke Barak, but neither did she want to fall off. Well, hopefully this would be alright. As he announced that he could still see the creature, she closed her eyes and exhaled, trying to quell her fear.
He launched off of the ground and they went rocketing up past the treetops. Nanami's eyes went wide open in surprise, despite that she had figured he would take a similar course of action. She couldn't help but look down, and gasp at what she saw. Normally, she wasn't afraid of heights, but this was pushing it. There was a creepy vine monster after them, and they were soaring through the air, far above the ground.
If Barak glanced at her hands, he would see her knuckles going white, from clinging to each other so hard. If he wasn't so focused, he would possibly be able to feel her trembling as well. The water nymph usually pulled off a cool and collected exterior, but her facade was slowly crumbling. She tried to distract her gaze at the ground underneath them by listening to what he had to say, but she couldn't really hear him. There was something about plummeting...No! No plummeting! However, her objections were silenced before they even came out of her mouth, since she was too terrified to say anything. Instead, she buried her face in Barak's back, gritting her teeth.

After the longest five seconds of his life, the view almost took what breath he had left out of him. Biting his own lip til blood drew, he looked behind and saw the creatures true form once more, a grotesque mixture of limbs of both human, and animal alike, it got worse as he realised he couldn't spot a single pair of eyes, or a mouth, but it still made a horrible screech as it attempted to make a grab for his legs. "Don't...look..." Barak wheezed, trying to make some form of contact, instead, he squeezed his grip on her for a few seconds then weakened it very slightly, trying to assure her that things would be okay. Altering his trajectory from up, to down, he tilted his body until he was facing the ground directly, looking down at the creature, looking around, he immediatly spotted a tree that was broken, leaning at a 45 Degree angle on another tree. That was his target. Barak kept Nanami in a firm grasp as he plummeted to the ground, using the last of his adrenalin rush to force some power out of his feet, pushing them faster to the ground, within arms reach of the tree-tops, Barak changed his position and landed with both feet on the tree trunk, sliding down it, hitting most branches, cutting himself a few times in the forhead and one down the eye. "When you feel that bastard on your tail, blast it to hades." Barak confirmed to a presumably concious and aware Nanami as his feet touched the grass, and with no moment to relax, sprinted at his top speed of 332MPH.
